I am loving this Saturday! It has been a whirlwind of fun and good things from the get-go. Peter had a nice surprise for me in the morning (get your thoughts out of the gutter!) and then I had a quick cardio session at the gym. Normally I do some sort of class on Saturdays, but today I knew I had to get done early and instead did a mix of different machines. I brought my Harlan Coben book along to keep me company for about 45 minutes of light cardio mixed between walking on the treadmill and going nice and steady on the stepmill. It felt great!
After that, I headed home to shower and pack up things for the busy day ahead. We had three fun things on plan for the day and I was ready to get going. We left around 11:00 am to take the 45 minute drive south of Atlanta to have some Medieval fun. At the Renaissance Festival!
I haven’t been to the Renaissance Festival in at least 15 years. It was a lot of fun though. We got to see many interesting things. Like some horse performances, a woman performing on stilts and a trapeze, and a bird show.
And what would a Renaissance Festival be without some jousting shows. Although, we didn’t really catch any pictures of the actual jousting since we had to leave.
You know what though? None of that is even what brought us to the Renaissance Festival in the first place. We came to see my pirate sister. Yep, she is a pirate! This totally fits her personality.
And because I took way too many pictures today…I have many more for you to look at. Some cute ones of Makenzie checking everything out; random shots; and family photo ops. Enjoy!
love the foot in the mouth picture! Glad you had a great day.
I LOVE the renaissance festival!!!!!!! I haven’t been in forever. Your sister looks great in her costume!! Haha, Makenzie looks so hungry she could eat her own foot!! 😉 Glad you’ve been having such a great day!! I’m interested in what the surprise was this morning – breakfast in bed??!!

Awesome!!! I went to one of these festivals years ago back in high school and I have never forgotten. Would love to go again if I ever get a chance!
What a beautiful day for a fair! I love how baby M is rocking those sun glasses!
Thanks for commenting on my blog post and reassuring me. Its hard to be really honest about something emotional on a public blog, but heartfelt comments really help 🙂
I used to love going to the renaissance festival. I haven’t been in years. I used to like those wax hands a lot. I had one making a peace symbol. I totally forgot about that until your post.
That looks like so much fun! I’ve always wanted to go to something like that…I’m not sure if we have anything around here. I’m a big fair/festival girl. 🙂
Happy Mother’s Day, Tina!
Great pictures!! M looks adorable as always! 🙂
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am so excited for you!!!! 🙂
